Net Worth Tracker (Lite)
The same template I've used for 5+ years. Add your accounts, see your total, save progress in your browser.

All numbers you enter are saved only in your browser (localStorage). Nothing is sent to a server or shared. Clearing your browser data will erase your entries.
How to use this tracker
What gets measured gets improved. Tracking your net worth monthly is the easiest financial habit to build, and the most powerful one over time.
Common assets to include
- Chequing and savings accounts
- TFSA balance
- RRSP balance
- FHSA balance
- Non-registered investment accounts
- Crypto holdings (use today's market value)
- Home equity (market value minus mortgage)
- Car value (be honest โ depreciate yearly)
Common liabilities to include
- Credit card balances
- Line of credit
- Student loans
- Car loan
- Mortgage
- Personal loans
How often to update
Monthly is the sweet spot. Once a quarter is fine. Daily is too much (your net worth fluctuates with the market and that's noise, not signal).
Pick a day (1st of the month, last Sunday, whatever) and make it routine. The act of opening this tracker and updating the numbers is what builds the habit. The number itself is secondary.
Why this lite version saves to your browser
For privacy. Your net worth is sensitive information. I don't want it on my server. localStorage means the data lives in your browser only โ I can't see it, no one else can see it. If you switch browsers or devices, you'll need to re-enter.
If you want a more powerful version with multi-year tracking, asset allocation breakdown, and the same template I personally use, that's part of the coaching program.
