The Membership

The Nomad Finance Club.

A monthly community for Canadians who want ongoing accountability and learning without committing to 1:1 coaching. $19.99 a month. Cancel anytime.

Founding member pricing locked in for life as long as you stay subscribed.

Who this is for

If reading more finance content was going to fix it, you'd already be fixed.

Most Canadians stuck on their money already know what to do.

They've read the Reddit threads. Watched the YouTube videos. Saved the Instagram carousels.

What they don't have is a place to ask their specific question, hear someone else's similar situation, and feel like they're not the only one figuring this out.

The Club is for you if:

  • You want monthly accountability without paying for 1:1 coaching
  • You like learning from other people's questions, not just your own
  • You want updates when TFSA limits, FHSA rules, or tax laws change
  • You're comfortable being a beginner and asking "dumb" questions
  • You believe community beats discipline alone

Why $19.99/month

Coaching shouldn't cost more than a couple coffees.

Most coaching memberships in the personal finance space cost $50-200/month. I priced the Club at $19.99 because the math actually works at scale and because I want the people who need this most to be able to afford it.

At $19.99/month, the Club is cheaper than:

  • A single coffee from your local cafe twice a month
  • One Netflix subscription
  • One mediocre lunch out
  • 5 minutes of a CFP's billable hourly rate

If joining the Club helps you make one better investment decision per year - skip one bad ETF, capture an extra CESG match, file your TFSA correctly - it pays for itself many times over.

The Club isn't designed to replace 1:1 coaching. It's designed to be the thing 80% of people actually need - a place to learn, ask questions, stay accountable, and feel less alone in figuring this out.

Who runs the Club

Me. Suroy.

I have a university degree in Finance, graduated with distinction. 13+ years of personal investing. 10 paid coaching clients before going public with this. I'm a Financial Coach, not a Financial Planner or Advisor (those titles require credentials I don't have, and they're regulated in Ontario).

I run the Club because the question I get asked most often by friends is some variation of "I have money saved, what do I do with it?" That's a 20-minute conversation, not a $2,000 financial plan. The Club is the scalable version of that conversation.

I'm in the WhatsApp community daily. I host the monthly calls personally. When you ask a question, you get my answer - not a junior associate's. That's only possible because the Club is structured to scale to a few hundred members before we'd need to change anything.

If you join early, you get me at my most available. That's the deal.

Common questions

FAQ

How is this different from your 1:1 coaching? +

1:1 coaching is personalized - we work through YOUR specific accounts, your specific situation, in 4 weekly calls. The Club is community-based - you learn from group calls and other members' questions, with access to me in WhatsApp for quick questions. Different intensity, different price, different fit. Many people start in the Club and graduate to 1:1 when ready.

Can I cancel anytime? +

Yes. One click in your account. You'll keep access through the end of your billing period and then automatically lose access. No phone calls, no retention pressure, no questions asked.

What if I rejoin later - is my founding rate still locked in? +

If you cancel and rejoin, you pay whatever the current price is at the time of rejoining. The founding rate is locked in only while you maintain continuous membership. The thing being priced isn't your single subscription - it's your loyalty to the Club.

I'm a complete beginner. Will I feel out of place? +

You're exactly who the Club is built for. About 70% of past clients had little to no investing experience. The questions you're embarrassed to ask are usually the ones other members are also wondering. The community norm is "no judgment" because everyone's at a different point.

I'm already a confident investor. Is there value for me? +

Probably less. The Club is built for late-20s/30s Canadians figuring out the foundations. If you already have a maxed TFSA + RRSP, automated investing, and a clear strategy - you don't need this. The 1:1 coaching is also probably overkill for you. Save your $19.

What if I'm not in Toronto or the GTA? +

Everything is virtual - the group calls are on Zoom, the community is in WhatsApp. The content focuses on Canadian accounts (TFSA, RRSP, FHSA), so if you're outside Canada, the value drops significantly.

Are you giving personalized investment advice? +

No. The Club is education and coaching, not advice. I don't recommend specific stocks, funds, or allocations to specific members. For the regulated stuff (specific investment selection), I walk members through how to use Wealthsimple Invest's risk questionnaire, which is the registered party that legally provides that guidance.

Why WhatsApp instead of Slack or Discord? +

Because almost every Canadian already has WhatsApp. No new app to download, no learning curve, voice notes work, and the friction to ask a question is near zero. Slack and Discord work better for tech-heavy audiences. WhatsApp wins for finance coaching.
